How to use this sheet
Open this generator when you need a paper archery scorecard and you do not want to hunt through a folder of one-off files. The form on the left is the layout. The panel on the right is the sheet. Named presets fill in the usual shape for WA 720, WA 1440, 18 m indoor, Portsmouth, and Worcester. Custom mode is the same form with every control unlocked, so a club night, a blank round, or a coaching session can use 3, 5, or 6 arrows, as many as forty ends, and up to four archers on one card.
Arrows per end run from 3 to 12. Ends run from 1 to 40. Distances run from 1 to 4 so a FITA-style outdoor card can keep a block per distance. Archers run from 1 to 4; a shared card labels rows A–D and gives each archer a name line. Maximum score per arrow defaults to 10 and drops to 5 for Worcester. If a value in the URL is out of range, the generator clamps it and tells you, rather than showing a broken table.
Column toggles hide what you do not need. Indoor practice might skip 10s and X’s. A single-distance club night might skip the distance-total row. Signature lines are optional for training and useful when a scorer has to sign. Header fields leave room for archer, date, and division, or for named archers on a shared card.
The grand total is calculated, not remembered. It is always ends × arrows × max-per-arrow × distances. A 12 × 6 outdoor card shows 720. A 20 × 3 indoor card shows 600. A 40-end custom card shows 40 times your arrows times your max. That label is what judges and archers glance at when they add the last end, so it has to match the grid above it.
Long cards paginate. When the rows no longer fit one page at a readable height, the next page repeats the table header and prints Page N of M. WA 720, WA 1440, and 18 m layouts still fit a single page, matching the static cards people already print from this site. Choose A4 or Letter before you download. The cream page fill is there so a home printer matches the preview, not a stark white rectangle with a surprise orange bar.
FAQ
- How do I make a custom archery scorecard?
- Leave the preset on Custom, set arrows, ends, distances, and archers, then toggle the total columns you want. The preview updates after you touch the form, and Download saves the PDF.
- What does the grand total number mean?
- It is the maximum possible score for the grid: ends × arrows × maximum score per arrow × number of distances. It changes when you change those four values.
- Can more than one archer use the same card?
- Yes. Set archers to 2, 3, or 4. Each end grows extra rows labelled A–D, and the header gives each archer a name line so a family or pair can share one sheet.
- Will a 40-end sheet still print clearly?
- Yes. Row height shrinks within a minimum first. If the card still overflows, it continues on the next page with the same header and a page number.
- Is this a substitute for the official scorecard?
- Use it for practice, club nights, and informal shoots. For record status or World Archery events, confirm the official card, faces, and round in the current rulebook.
